The Annual Thanksgiving Potluck Feast is where old friends and new neighbors meet and enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings. Agassiz Baldwin Community supplies the turkey (cooked by volunteers), cranberry sauce, and drinks, while our guests bring salads, sides, and desserts inspired by their own family traditions. Hosted in the Maria L. Baldwin School cafeteria, this neighborhood tradition held on the Tuesday before the Thanksgiving holiday has continued for nearly fifty years!

The Spirit Awards event celebrates the spirit of Maud Morgan, a former community resident and artist of exceptional vibrancy, who lived her life deeply in the arts, in her neighborhood and in the world (1903-1999). Once a year we gather for a festive evening to honor an outstanding individual who embodies her “spirit”.

Where you’d typically see the big, bold letters of “Greetings From…” or an endearing “Wish You Were Here,” there are stunning oil still lifes, surreal portraits or a textural collage made entirely of green circles. Postcards are the chosen medium in the Chandler Gallery’s latest exhibition, which asks artists to put forth some of their most daring work within the confines of 6×8 inches.

Join us for a casual spring evening of hors d’oeuvres, music, and conversation to celebrate the Living Well Network community, a grassroots resource for adults over 55. Meet the new Living Well Network Coordinator Diane Martin!

Bring a friend, a neighbor, or anyone you would like to introduce to the Living Well Network.
