Winter Wonder Dance Festival

Dance Complex's 5th annual festival

On December 29-31 2017, Dance Complex held it's 5th annual Winter Wonder Dance Festival. Dance Complex's Creative Program Manager, Rachel Roccoberton informs us on how the event is set up and who are the guests stars teaching the classes. The festival welcomed all dancers, beginners to advance level to learn a variety of dance such as ballet and interpretive dance. The Dance Complex will be expecting another Winter Wonder festival and other festivals again in 2018!

Habari Gani! What Is the News Cambridge! Roxbury born Lovely Hoffman stopped by CCTV Live studios for the reboot of Spring Affair with host Maurice Wilkey. Ms. Hoffman holds a lot of titles. Not only is Lovely a Boston school teacher, she is a music artist, an actor, a singer, activist, and producer. One of her latest music creations is a song titled 'My Black is Beautiful'.

Cambridge's Lynch Family Skatepark During Winter Months

Even during winter months, skaters of all ages and levels enjoy Cambridge's Lynch Family Skatepark tucked away at 0 Education St, Cambridge, MA 02141.

As long as temperatures are above freezing and there is no risk of frostbite, skaters say there is no reason not to. On Tuesday, December 19th it was warm enough to skate in a t-shirt.

The park has been open for just over two years now, and has a supportive, friendly vibe for skaters of all levels.

A Far Cry - an Orchestra with a Difference

Young Musicians Changing Things

A new approach to orchestral music has emerged in the Boston area with A Far Cry, a group of lively performers with an innovative style. Instead of the usual organization conducted by a baton-wielding figure on a podium, these musicians play standing in a semi-circle (except for cellos, who are seated), with members of the different sections taking turns leading. Orchestra members also serve as the announcers.
