2nd Annual Local Craft Spirits Festival Program

Crowds flocked to the Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts' Local Craft Spirits Festival Friday night to enjoy this event offering Massachusetts and New England based local craft distilled spirits, cider, artisan beverages as well as a bit of craft beer. The final tweet gives the appearance that your @Neighbormedia correspondent was blotto, but this was actually due to low light.

On February 20, 2017, Cambridge lost a world-renowned female physicist, nanoscience trailblazer, professor, and mentor to sister women scientists throughout her 50 year plus career. Known as the "queen of carbon science", Mildred Dresselhaus was the first female Institute Professor and professor emerita of physics and electrical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Alternative Facts?

...nah, not really

I was reading an interesting article in the Cambridge Chronicle about the old Harvard Square Theater.

The building is located on Church Street and I walk past it every week on my way to class.

It has always caught my eye because of the beautiful nostalgic murals painted on the building's exterior.

MIT fraternity welcomes freshmen with car smashing and other activities

An irreverent crash exploded next to me in the dark. I whipped my head around. My pupils quickly shrank. Big bright lights beamed down on a wrecked, pink and green graffiti painted car. Around it, three young men with sledgehammers circled. One sent his tool up into the air and crashing down once again onto the vehicle.

Sayonara Summer

Grab those Last Selfies for the Season

Labor Day...the final frontier before we put away the mementos of summer.

Whether it be a final visit to the beach, back yard BBQs (hint hint), or catching the latest movie blockbuster, Labor Day is sort of the last Hoorah before returning to school or the routine of work.

For many in the Cambridge area (i.e.. students), summer means returning home to catch a breather from university studies.

Hence, the real experience of a Cambridge summer is always missed.
