I chose Kendall Square on an unseasonably warm Saturday afternoon as the setting for my sixth in this series of Cambridge Soundwalks.

I've enjoyed creating soundscapes around Cambridge for several years, including Cambridge Heals Together and Cambridge Riverfest Soundscape..Attending a fascinating conference at the MIT Community Innovators Lab (CoLab) entitied "Listening to the City: Engagement, Exploration + Intervention through Sound" in 2017 reconnected me with my love of sound as a way to understand and share about the world around us.

Kendall Square was lively on this Saturday afternoon and you'll hear lots of conversation snippets, some fire engines, and traffic roar. You  may also hear some nature sounds in the background...

Take a listen and see how many sounds you can identify.

Enjoy!
