MIT Museum Enters The Secret Lives of Robots

This Saturday, November 5,  promises to be a special day at the MIT Museum.

Twice each year the museum celebrates women in science, technology, engineering, and math by opening its doors to girls who are interested in investigating, building and testing their own designs.

Saturday's event will delve into "The Secret Lives of Robots."  Hands-on activities begin at noon, and in between girls will program with LEGO Minstorm, tinker with local robotics engineers, and view a documentary about teaching robotics in Lagos Nigeria.  Presentations will be given by MIT students, recent graduates, and engineers who'll talk about why they decided to study robotics and their current projects.

So young girls, come discover the world of robotics, and find the encouragement to pursue education and a career in science.  Girls Day is recommended for young women aged 10+.  Hands-on activities, informal talks, and demonstrations are free with museum admission.
