Focus on Bicycle Advocacy

For this installment of Beyond Boston, we turn to the youngest reporters in the Beyond Boston family, the crew from youth media camp at Somerville Community Access Television, who recently interviewed several activists and cyclists about the reality of traversing our region on two wheels. After that we have a piece from Brookline Interactive Group about the miracle of bike-sharing, an in-studio interview with an advocate Tom Lamar, Vice Chair of the Somerville Bicycle Advisory Committee, a clip from our partners at Cambridge Community Television that shows some of the serious mobilization and passion around bike issues that we have spoken about, followed by some closing comments from BINJ Network Director Jason Pramas.

Hosted by DigBoston editor and Boston Institute for Nonprofit Journalism (BINJ) co-founder Chris Faraone, BEYOND BOSTON is a monthly regional news magazine spotlighting reporting from Boston, MA area community access centers - including Brookline Interactive Group (BIG) in Brookline, MA, Cambridge Community Television (CCTV) in Cambridge, MA, Malden Access TV (MATV) in Malden, MA, Somerville Community Access Television (SCATV) in Somerville, MA, LTC Lowell and Watertown Cable Access Corp- in partnership with BINJ.
