Peace in the Square

Inman Square in Cambridge is a  place much visited by consumers of all types. There are some banks and if you are hungry, restaurants. These eateries offer many different foods and beverages. If you are a do it yourselfer you'll find a popular Ace Hardware Store. There are even a few start ups. If pizza and sandwiches are your choice; you can indulge in that cuisine as well. If you are in need of a new hair style or a summer cut you can get that as well.

So you may think, because of all the shops and banks and places serving wonderful dishes that its such a hustle and bustle place. You may wonder where does one go to rest. Well I have the answer to that question. There, at the beginning of the Inman Square part of Cambridge is a park, a beautiful Park named after the late mayor Alfred Vellucci. So many things happen here. First of all there are so many places to sit comfortably and relax from a day of shopping or eating or whatever your business was in the square.

Often times while  passing the park I see pigeons and sparrows being fed bread crumbs and the like. Because the Park is surrounded by flowers and greenery both people and birds flock to it. Do you find the need to get out of your domain and come to a quiet and picturesque environment. Well try this Park. Bring a book, bring your dog or just bring yourself.

During some of the holidays there are events, such as food or games held here at the bark. Do you have a notice to put up? That is possible here as well. There is a bicycle rental organization called Hubway that you can tap into here, So tell a friend or a family member about this hot spot and come and relax. Mayor Velluci Park, now that you are familiar with it, awaits your arrival!
