MIT Hosts Carbon Pricing Panel

Two Carbon Pricing Bills in Mass. Legislature Discussed

The MIT Climate Action Team hosted "The Future of Climate Policy: Experts Discuss Carbon Pricing" on Thursday, January 25th.

Carbon pricing attaches a fee to carbon emissions, but the word "tax" is usually avoided.

At the center of Thursday evening's discussion were two carbon pricing bills currently in Massachusetts Legislature.

new store in town

I must start off by reporting how business like; yet very down to earth Shelley the owner of Albertine Press struck me. Upon entering the establishment I was directed to the rear of the store where there was a huge printing press which Shelley was demonstrating its usage to customers. Shelley and I sat at a table to begin the interview.  must mention her inquisitive and personable daughter, Emily. I asked Shelley how long had she been in business in Inman Square.

Prints With Depth

Three Dimensional Prints Contain Layers of Movement, Meaning at the Chandler Gallery

At this printmaking show, books the size of a penny comprise a tiny library, a giant paper rose blooms in in the corner, and rolled paper strands pour down from a swirl of copper tubing. “Prints as Sculpture” at the Chandler Gallery features sculptures that utilize at least one aspect of printmaking. Curated by artists Rhoda Rosenberg and Boriana Kantcheva, the exhibit explores how adding the dimension of depth can open up new possibilities for prints.
